15 minutes pictures is a alternative, DIY and independent organization based in Pančevo, a city near Belgrade (capitol of Serbia), and is founded by movie lovers and young wannabe filmmakers who, for numerous reasons, decided to shoot movies and learn by themselves. Inspired by Robert Rodriguez, Blair Witch Project and other low and no-budget DIY projects and filmmakers all over the world (ridden with energy and love towards film), they began this hard journey in 2004 with cheap Digital8 handycam. Years have passed and many things happened…

Crew started as pure lo-fi, and now we’re trying to prove that you can make quality entertainment and art armed with energy and creativity (”Poor tools require better skills”, Marcel Duchamp once said) without fancy tools and heaps of money. Our modest work is constantly improving as we learn and grow all the time - at least we think so… For example, pixel art and even C-64 graphics artists (in nowa days) limit themselves into restrictive environments of working for many reasons and motives - one of them is to push their creativity to the limits and making tools do more than was intended for. Their art is unique and admirable considering patience, enthusiasm and hard work poured into their pictures. Maybe someone can think that there is no connections between low-budget movies and pixel art, but if you just stop for a second and think… Putting ourselves in restrictive conditions started as a necessity, transformed into routine and developed into some kinda philosophy.

15 minutes pictures founders are Nebojša Nenadić Beat (director, editor, screenwriter, cinematographer, camera operator, music composer, visual effects, 3d, multimedia & motion graphix artist, and more) and Marjan Vrhovac Kima (assistant director, gaffer, key grip, camera operator, visual effects and motion graphix artist, VJ and more). Throughout our crew, there were many great people and friends. Predrag Niš¡kanovic Peđa actually is not an artist but was essential member of the team, as tremendous support and assistance whenever needed, no questions asked, and is also working as VJ. As long with him, our supporters and friends still are: Goran Ratković Goxxy, Živan Vitomirović Žiky, Nemanja Bujišić, Vlada Jovanović, Darko Tomić Darconny, Ilija Dimitrijević, Ivana Čalija, Petar Mirković, Relja Ilić, Sonja Antanasijević, Goran Ilić Kum, Nenad Vilimanović Vili and many many others (sorry, will make a full list once)…
The core of new 15 minutes pictures company are Nebojša Nenadić and Branimir Stojadinović (former friend of the crew), with Marjan Vrhovac.

Our mastery was based on two major things: zero and low budget movies and lowbudget-but-expensive-looking music videos. From 2009. (now after a year and the half that Beat is in Faculty of Dramatic Arts Belgrade) we are trying to go “pro” with professional crew and cooperatives, bigger budgets and of course, more knowledge.
